Internet safety is a big topic and we have been surprised by the amount of people that are not aware of the dangers of the internet. It doesn't matter if you are a child or an adult, we all should understand that criminals and not so nice characters lurk around every click.
Our free seminar will cover the following topics and more:
- Parental guidelines and general best practices for safe internet usage.
- How to identify phishing scams, avoid identity theft, avoid credit theft.
- Guidelines for safe social networking on sites such as Myspace, Friendster, etc.
- The Top Ten Signs Your Child Or Spouse May Be Involved In Poor Internet Practices.
- Dealing with internet predators, cyber bullies, cyber stalking, cyber threats.
- Dealing with and understanding Trojan Horses, Viruses, Malware, Spyware, etc.
- How to handle email and spam issues.
In an effort to give back to the community we are offering a free internet safety seminars or classes to the following:
- Churches
- Schools
- Any public organization with a member base of 20 or more.
- Community centers
We are also planning public free seminars at various locations throughout the state of Alaska over the next year.
